The Bolsavik received in his email an attack mailer from AndrewDo.com against Trung Nguyen. Click on the picture to see the full image.
Written in Vietnamese, the mailer states that “Garden Grove cannot have an elected official that lacks honesty, lacks integrity, is selfish/ambitious, and is irresponsible, as Trung Nguyen.”
Some accusations are familiar — the Photoshop job, the bankruptcy and student loan default — some are petty, such as a vote on air conditioning at 3 Garden Grove schools (ok, probably not petty to the parents of students at those schools); and some are stretching it, like tying Trung’s vote to up school-lunch prices by 25% to a tax increase. OK, so Trung voted to raise school lunch prices — but that’s not a tax. (Unless maybe if you drink out of some Howard-Jarvis tax-revolt wells, you’d call anything the government collects a tax….)
Andrew Do and Trung Nguyen are both running for the Garden Grove City Council. Also on the ballot for the 2 openings is another Viet, T. Linh Ho. Other candidates of note include Paul Lucas, Robin Marcario and appointed incumbent Steve Jones.
Trung Nguyen is, of course, the notorious protestor against a red belt buckle.
Anyway, guess what the file name of the Andrew Do mailer is. It’s “Hit mailer against Trung in VN 2.jpg“.

These types of dirty campaigning and personal attack antics have no place in the Vietnamese Community. The community is small and new at the democratic process. We should learn what is good and positive, not resort to low blows and negatives as a mean to win at any cost.
I expect that this e-mail “mailer” sent during the waning days of Andrew Do’s campaign will be counter productive and the Vietnamese voters in and out of Garden Grove will disavow it and, it’s sender.
Andrew Do appears to be scared …….. Who in the right mind recruited Santa Ana resident Andrew to run for the council seat in Garden Grove anyway?
Andrew’s “carpet bagger”reputation has been already exposed to our community.
Do’s uninvited attack on Trung can only back fire and destroy his future political ambition …. sending him back to his sandwich shop in Stanton.

We ( the Ciffer family ) received an earlier mailer of a Mr Andrew Do and its content wasn’t much about Mr Do but mostly about Mr Trung Nguyen’s bankruptcy filling and that resulted in the tax payers end up shouldered the burden .At the dinner table discusion , we decided there will be 5 votes for other candidates ( regardless of political party ‘s affiliation )
We are the residents of Garden Grove, we need someone that have real concerns to GG, negative campaign tactics are just that , Negative.

You should be asking Swith to Micth Charles where he got the money to pay for a vietnamese language mailer that he sent out to vietnamese voters. Hi e did not does not and does not show any money on his campaign reports to pay for this mailer he sent out.
It is well known that Janet pushed charles mitchel into th is race by promising to pay down some of his debt so she can fractionalize the non-vietnamese vote to help her puppet andrew do.

This is a same man who accused Van Tran and his associates had ran the dirty campaign yet he now runs his campaign same style as he has accused others. I heard him talk on the radio of VOV along with Mr. Do Son, does he know better? by appearing on VOV radio, he has discredited himself and tarnished his good image.
Both sides have talked about doing something for the community yet they have not shown me any thing which benefits the community. All I see bunch of young well educated thugs using empty slogans to lure elder voters to vote for them. Not long ago, these young generations were praised to be the next leaders of the community, but so far they have shown to be worse than their parent generation.
