A Viet featured on “America’s Most Wanted” as a suspect in what the show calls a “
bloodbath” 11 years ago has been captured in Canada and is back to New York awaiting extradition to Ohio, says the Buffalo News here.
Chi Quang Du, now 38 (pictured in 1997), was wanted for the attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend and her male study partner on the campus of Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, in October 1997.
According to “America’s Most Wanted” here, Du’s former girlfriend – whom he had allegedly been stalking for months – was studying with a male friend at the library. When the two students took a break and went to the vending machines, Du was there.
So they ran to the parking lot, but Du allegedly “grabbed the woman and held a knife to her throat. When her friend moved to try to help her, Du allegedly sliced the girl’s neck and stabbed her in the stomach.”
Du then stabbed the friend too. With the victims unable to move, Du believed them to be dead and left. Police who arrived described it as “the most gruesome crime scenes they’d ever seen.” One officer said the victims looked like someone “carved them up.”
After the program aired, the TV show received a tip that Du was working at an electronics boutique in Mississauga, Ont. Says the Buffalo News:
Police in Canada looked into it and picked up Du last week on immigration violations. He was returned to the United States on Wednesday, arrested by customs officers and turned over to the Niagara Falls Police Department pending extradition to Ohio.
Shocking news….. we need to pay closer attention to our youth today.
** the rising number of the crimes being committed by Vietnamese Americans are alarming. It reflects of the moral decay within the Vietnamese community.
** What are being done about it by Vietnamese community leaders. Let’s call them all communists, then problem is solved.
Where is BATMAN Ngo Ky when we really need a superhero to fight crimes ?
We need to promote positive avenues for today’s youths… healthy church activities, sports/hobby involvements and job skill/volunteer training programs. This is all part of important character building components.
R u kidding, Countryfirst? Our hero” Ngo Ky” ain’t got time for those petty crimes. He’s got to dedicate his worthless self to fight for a better cause: a bigger check from his sponsors just to camp out in front of NV newspapers. Hheehheheheeh
Mr. Jung Kim,
We do need to promote more positive role models. The question I have for you is “does any Vietnamese leaders care”. Please give me specific actions.
I think as individuals we are all responsible in certain degree of our moral decay. The buck has to stop somewhere and finger pointing and lip dancing ie. delegation of responsibilities ……won’t solve any problems.
We need to initiate good deeds from our own shere of influence….to our family members , neighbor friends and co workers etc.
Mr. Jung Kim,
I know public agencies often facilitate social programs to help youths at risk, or group rehabilitation. Which social agencies (still have funding) provide crime prevention programs, on the state and county levels ?
I am sure we can find out which state or county social programs offer these kind of services but I think threre is a great limitations in government’s ability to really make a differences in our youths…..without meaningful support from our own community.
The primary changes must be initiated within the family, church and community social structures…. firmly based on unity/sacrifice for the vision/passion for the brighter future.
Remember, every single child represents me and you in this inevitable fast approaching future.
Mr. Jung Kim,
I do share your grave concerns and sentiments.
Cordially,
We appreciate Bolsavik for his good work for the community. He can play a big role in promoting community unity under one umbrella/principle.
Bolsavik can uplift our good viet leaders in a positive light to promote shared respect…hence strengthening our social political might for the next generation.
It’s kind of funny to see you Californians automatically think that any Viet-American issues are in California. If you pay some attention to what you read, this crime happened over a decade ago in Ohio so Country First, no “Vietnamese Leaders” (if you have any to begin with) in California give a d*** about it and please, Ngo Ky is not a “hero” (may be to you, I guess). You Californian sure make me laugh sometime.
Mr. Vetete,
I am afraid you “being not in California” might have not fully grasped the message here.
* My sarcastic remarks directed at Mr. Ngo Ky ( please, it was not a compliment). A hero ? are you kidding me ?
* The crime itself served only as a metaphor for the current rise in crimes within Vietnamese community ( not geographically, not nationwide )
* If you can laugh at what those Santa Ana Viets clowning around, then I want share this fun with you.
Country First,
Your explanation is well taken. If you have to live around those Ana Viet Clowns, my condolence to you.
Vetete,
It’s great to be in California for the food and culture; However, it is just exceedingly embarrassing to endure daily barrage of idiotic rhetoric from those clowns.
Your sympathy is well displaced.
please visit the prisons and experience the other aspect of our community.
We need the board of education members who can speak and understand English and Education, visit (Board of Education) meetings of Westminster and Garden Grove meetings and to be witness.
Reporter,
You are asking too much. The only qualification for being a Santa Ana Vietnamese leader is the ability to know how to spell and shout “down with communist”. Everything else is extranenous.
Anyone who dares to follow your advice will be boycotted as traitors.
When in Santa Ana, do what the viets do, the communist way.
reporter and Country First, let’s be fair/practical…….not all viet leaders are underqualified and some of our good perspective leadership talents are completely wasted only due to lack of interests (public service) on our part.
It takes great courage to run for an office and we should be supportive of our good viet leaders with happy heart. Let’s recruit promising future community leaders and it must be our foremost mission statement for next two years.
I think Bolsavik would be a good candidate for the public office. He can be our supervisor or run against lazy Lou.
I second Jung Kim’s opinion.
Jung Kim,
Your optimism on Vietnamese leadership is somewhat enlightening. Would you care to elaborate on that. Please kindly point out some specific persons with concrete actions.
As for Bolsavik, would you consider him as “damaged/tainted” good ?
Country First de Mexico, in your opinion, can you point out why do you respect your parents? or other family members?……kindly be specific.
Bolsavik, should we deport Country First to viva Arturo Mexico today?
“every single child represents me and you in this inevitable fast approaching future” jung kim, that also applies to adults and to you. you come in here time after time saying horrible racist things and being homophobic yet you still claim to be a man of god. you do represent a part of the vietnamese community too bad you represent the useless side. the selfish communist side. and by the way, our friend the bolsavik should never run for office. in case you havent been paying attention in order to be elected in the vietnamese community you first have to be a useless moron to qualify. being a communist doesnt hurt either.
Mr. Jung Kim,
Your sudden change of tone surprised me; However, your improvised label of Country First de Mexico is quite humorous.
Mr. Jung Kim,
on second thought, your suggestion of Country First de Mexico could be brilliant. I am going to dry run it with my good Hispanic friends.
jose….aka Art Pedroza, are you bleeding again? Is this that time of the month?
Country First, I was refering the comment to my amigo Art Pedroza.
Art de Idiot is keep attacking Janet Nguyen without sufficient/clear evidences of wrong doing.
Mr. Jung Kim,
Your question about respect for one own’s parents.
I would think politicians can not be regarded as equal to one’s parents in terms of respect. In a participatory democracy, politicians are those who voters choose to represent them for a period of time and for specific roles. I know one place where politicians want to be worshiped as equal or even higher than parent, it is communist Vietnam.
based on the records that I had researched about the CASINO in GARDEN GROVE:

everything may change, the research is 12 months old .
Mr. Reporter,
Your information is quite shocking and important !
I wonder WHAT reasons for those YES votes ?
Easy, it’s pol.sci 101 …. the votes would reflect party lines, pro business principles.
Mr. Jung Kim,
Your answer is quite insightful.
So ! it’s all boiled down to basic party obedience.
Pro-business principle explains the YES votes for CASINO.
Would a pro-business principle also explains President Bush now supporting communist regime in Vietnam ?
Mr. Jung Kim,
Your answer is quite INSIGHTFUL.
So ! it’s all boiled down to basic party obedience.
Pro-business principle explains the YES votes for CASINO.
Pro-business principle, for this CASINO vote, trumps family value principle.
Mr. Jung Kim, your answer is quite amazing ! ! !
Today’s world politics apprears to seperate ideological differences when we are talking about economical relationships.
Goto Walmart today..practically everything is made from red China and it doesn’t necessarily mean that we support China’s communist ideology/government.
Countrey First de Mexico, Arturo…do not twist words.
We voted against the casino in GG and our family value DID trump over party line/pro business votes. Mexican swamped Santa Ana might have been a different story however. Sorry Arturo!
Mr. Jung Kim,
Your vote against the casino in GG is definitely commendable: however, your confusion with Arturo is sophomorish.
Country First…. you don’t know who is Art?
Almost all viet americans voted against the casino for the right reason.
Mr. Jung Kim,
I begged your pardon for my ignorance with name Art.
Art Pedroza is running a almost defunct, self claimed “political” blog primarily to degrade any elected officials not lining with his illogical mental state.
Art might have some valuable skills but not a good leasdership character.
He needs to take my classes.
