An obscure item on the agenda at the City of Westminster’s Traffic Commission meeting on Tuesday may spell the end of Ky Ngo’s reign of the patch of grass across from Nguoi Viet.
On the agenda (here) for the Westminster Traffic Commission for tomorrow night is the following:
“Request for the Installation of 24-Minute Timed Parking Restrictions at 14801 And 14802 Moran Street”
Though innocuous, if passed the item will put a stop to Ky Ngo’s protesting.
Those addresses are the properties on the two sides of Nguoi Viet. Building 14801-14805 on the left belongs to Dong Loi Seafood, a wholesaler which has its own retail store that that location. Ky Ngo has been setting up his lawn chairs and other paraphernalia on Dong Loi’s sidewalk (picture above).
The other building, at 14802-14810 on the right, is the warehouse for Thuy Nga, the producer of the popular Vietnamese variety show Paris by Night. That’s where Ky Ngo usually parks his car and displays the rest of his stuff.
A 24-minute parking restriction would make it impossible for Ky Ngo to camp out at the site.
This item is so unusual for the zoning in the area that there can be no doubt that it’s on the agenda to specifically target Ky Ngo and Ky Ngo only.
Using parking laws seems to be the city’s solution to this thorn on its side. The entire area including Nguoi Viet’s building (see zoning map at right, taken from the city’s Community View here) is zoned M-1, i.e. for light industrial (“M” for manufacturing) – not for offices or business. (The lone CM – i.e. “commercial-industrial” lot belongs to Dong Loi.)
Unlike “C” zones (business, commercial and office), where parking restrictions tend to be the norm, industrial zones almost never have parking rules. In Westminster’s industrial zones west of Hoover, for example, it is not unusual to find semi-trucks parked smack in the middle of Hazard, right in the median.
The area around Moran Street, however, has been highly gentrified, with hundreds of offices moving in to locations that are zoned for industrial. It is only a matter of time before the zoning is changed, and in the meantime, a creative parking rule is just as good as any to get Ky Ngo and his band of protestors to move out.
On the other hand, recently the things Ky Ngo is saying on the used-to-be-his-sworn-commie-enemy-but-now-is-his-favorite magazine Viet Weekly seem to reflect a degree of fatigue on his part. This move by the city may give him the perfect excuse to go home without appearing to give up.
Great! No more freak show in front of Nguoi Viet. Can the city make him get a job?
hahaha, good point but no i dont think he will finally get a job i’m sure theres many other places he can protest or just make something up so he can protest. this is a good start but i think the best solution for this problem is for people to just go down there and tell him and his other unemployed friends to quit making themselves look so un-american. and by the way, it wouldnt suprise me if this thing passes and they actually move their cars every 24 minutes. please keep in mind these communist filths are also crazy.
There goes our entertainment!

Why work when you have money pumped into your pocket every month?
“New” communist fighting “Old” communist.
Ky Ngo is a savvy politician : He turned his sworn-in enemy Viet-Weekly into his best friend to fight his current enemy Nguoi Viet !
It sounds exactly like the post-Vietnam War political stage : Vietnam became a good friend of the US to hold the Chinese
expansion in Southest Asia.
The many times I visited Nguoi Viet, I could never find Ky Ngo and would usually find someone else protesting by proxy. Isn’t protesting making a statement in person, not by someone else on your behalf? If this is not the case of protesting, then Ky Ngo is a public nuisance by definition with his grabage displayed for passerby.
As for limited parking for 24 minutes, the city of Westminster can eliminate any possible issue by instituting an anti-cruising ordinance, then his vehicles are limited by the amount of time spent to city property in one location, not spot. This is a catch-all ordinance.
With the effort and time Ky Ngo has spent bumming around, he would have picked up a trade or skill and most likely a decent paying job. Rationality has escaped this man, so he is forever a bum. Kids, don’t grow up to be another Ky Ngo!
In the People’s Republic of Little Saigon, Comrade NGO KY will switch to any side to build his new improved brand of communism.
Hahaha, don’t sing your victorious song too soon. My son Ngo Ky still have until tomorrow night to fight the decision. He’s working hard on the plan at this moment and he’ll take his allies Viet Weekly, OC supervisor Janet Nguyen, councilman Andrew Do, lawyer Le Cong Tam, Dr. Nguyen Kim Long, councilman Andy Quach, councilwoman Dina Nguyen, former presidents Regan, Bush, W. Bush, and all his cast and crew to the hearing tomorrow night at Westminster city to fight. I don’t think anyone in the city council or traffic commission has the gut to fight my son Ngo Ky face-to-face. Who would want their body hung up on the street for months like Tri Ta and Diep Truong? This law for sure won’t be passed. And even if it is passed, so what? My son Ngo Ky has all the times in the world to use against Nguoi Viet. He can still move back and forth his truck every 20 minutes. Or at worst, he won’t need his truck. Just a chair and two banners (one on his chest and one on his back) are enough for him to fight Nguoi Viet until he dies. Did you hear he sworn on his ally Viet Weekly that Vietnamese has fought Chinese for 1,000 years, then one year fighting Nguoi Viet was nothing to him. He has sworn he would fight until he dies, he won’t loose his face quitting the fight.
Li’l Saigon Man,
My son Ngo Ky runs the protest against Nguoi Viet just the way he runs a business (although he never runs a business in his life). He’s the boss of the protest business, why he has to be at the site all the times? He has his people, his workers working for him. They take turn at the site and report to my son Ngo Ky on his cell. All he needs to do is stopping by the site a few times a day to check things out, giving compliments to the workers/protesters, and make sure things run ok. When you are out there and don’t see my son Ngo Ky, don’t think he’s not working. He works very hard against Nguoi Viet, almost 24/7. When he’s not there, he’s probably in the meeting at some coffee shops or restaurants. He has to make deals with anonymous people who stay behind the protest but don’t want their faces or names exposed. What do you think he can survive on without making those deals? You think he lives on a few bucks of donations or on the money from recycle cans and paper? No way. Who pays for his housing rental, food, coffee, beer, gas, car insurance, cell phone bill, clothing, and all of other bills? Or you think he’s buddha who can live without needs? Dumb you. The next time you come to the site and don’t see my son Ngo Ky, don’t think he’s not working, think he is making deals behind the scene.
NK’s Father:
Mister, you raised a true entrepreneur. I can clearly say that Donald Trump cannot hold a light to your son. Better yet, Donald should take up lessons from Ngo Ky! You are completely right to say that I am the stupid one. I should have attended protesting school. Is he giving lessons? I want to start from the ground up and miss nothing.
Maybe he and I can start an instructional video and write a book on professional protesting?
Stupid citizen,
You made me laugh so hard I felt onto the floor. I don’t believe in your name. I don’t think you’re stupid at all. About the lessons, good idea. I will ask my son Ngo Ky if he wants to do so, since this is a type of confidential business. His partners always prefer absolute confidentiality. He’s held to that by contract. Maybe if you show up tomorrow at Westminster city council meeting and help him fight against the new parking law on Moran street, he may reconsider.
In the People’s Republic of Little Saigon, one of Comrade NGO KY’s friend/nemesis, former Orange County Sheriff Michael S. Carona was sentenced yesterday to 5 and 1/2 years in federal prison and fined $125,000 in a high-profile corruption case.
In NGO KY’s little RED BOOK : right is wrong, friend turns to foe, loyalty means betrayal, and anti-communist is communist.
Nothing is bigger than NGO KY’s narcissistic/eccentric ego.
I can see the good, the bad, and the ugly in NK :
** The good : he has the tenacity, the determination to carry on his fight continously for a long time. The same quality in Vietnamese that scare the hells out of foreign invaders in the last few thousand years.
** The bad : too bad ! his fight is against other Vietnamese.
** The ugly : his fight is unproportional to the issue (Nguoi Viet’s printing of that controversial painting of the SVN flag).
Watching his marathon protest against that minor issue, it made people wonder about this man mental stability, purposes, and priorities in life.
Stupid citizen,
You’re right that Donald Trump should take business lessons from my son Ngo Ky. The first lesson he should take from my son is how to get people working for you with NO PAY. Even though it’s good for my son Ngo Ky, I still feel bad and pity for his protesters/workers. They work their butts off at the site, but all the fame and money go to my son Ngo Ky. No one talk to them or even know their names. When people want to make deals or pay money, they go to my son. When the media want to interview, they call my son. And still some people here call my son crazy or mental? Can you be a crazy or mental people and still manipulate other people sacrifice for you everyday? Real crazy and mental people are the people on the site, not my son, got it?
Tonight, the Westminster city council will be scared the shit out and won’t pass the new parking law on Moran street.
Dear NK’s Father,
Could please tell us, honestly, what it feels like, to have a son like NK ?
We all knew that every father wants to defend & praise his son, so PLEASE be honest, we want to know your TRUE feelings.
Thanks.
SwineQueen, my true feeling is every time I see my son Ngo Ky, I’m so proud of him I want to puke.
Dear NK’s Father,
Sorry to hear that ! it must be extremely painful for you !
Have you ever taken him to a doctor office for a thorough psychopathic evaluation ? did the doctor say anything about schizophrenia, hallucinatory or dementia praecox ?
