Leyna Nguyen at CSUF for “Donate Life” Run/Walk this Sat.

The KCAL-9/KCBS reporter, anchor, entertainer and Viet community celebrity is co-hosting a 5k/1k run/walk fundraiser for the Donate Life organ and tissue donor registry, to take place at the Memorial Grove on the campus of Cal State Fullerton tomorrow Saturday at 7am, with registration starting at 8:15am.

Map to campus here. Detailed map of campus and directions to event parking and location here.

Leyna Nguyen came to KCAL from a brief stint in Georgia. Originally from Minnesota, before that she worked for four years as a reporter at KCRA in Sacramento.

When Leyna Nguyen arrived in L.A., she did not isolate herself in the mainstream cocoon (is that an oxymoron?) up there, but was very involved with the Viet community in Southern California. She even appeared at a number of variety shows, making her face very recognizable to many Viets.

Notable among her charitable activities is her work with Love Across the Ocean (web site here) which Leyna Nguyen founded and is currently President.

LATO builds and renovates schools in Vietnam, and provides food, clothing, medicine, and other necessities to needy families in rural areas of Vietnam, starting in Quang Tri province. With the help of the occasionally controversial Nam Loc Nguyen, LATO also assists refugee families in Southern California, and has a program where Viet volunteer visits nursing home/battered women’s shelter.

  1. too bad says:

Jung Kim, I would tell those fine Viet ladies they deserve better husbands who could bring them true happiness.

  2. Jung Kim says:

too bad, you are way off from this universe….. give us some names who can bring true happiness to our viet ladies. Presuming they are all non-viet.

    You are dingdong hollow!

  3. redhead says:

For those of you, presumably men, who are flapping your mouths about how asian women shouldn’t marry white men–why don’t you put as much effort into being a better man, and maybe one day, you’ll land yourself a nice little asian lady too???!!! Small D**** aside, many asian men THINK they deserve better–THINK they have a lot to offer–THINK they’re good in bed–but they’re too busy thinking how great they are and too busy coming up with conspiracy theories on the part of asian women to look clearly in the mirror.
Not all asian men are like this, but so many of them are. and that’s the reason why a lot of asian women with a lot going for them look elsewhere for love.

  4. XYZ says:

Not everyone is troubled that Asian women marry white men. The controversial point is that there is a culture that takes white men as the aesthetic standard and marrying white men is the best thing that could happen to Asian women.

But, if you ask me, the real bullsh*t here is some Asian women become livid at the suggestion that they go after the big schlong and the cock-ariffic sex. Admittedly, Asian men are intoxicated at the sight of massive-erection-producing blonde and tit-shaking brunette, but the attraction is purely physical and then there’s sex. We know that women like sex as much as men do, but women can’t just admit it because then they would be some kind of cheesy slut. And since there is no cute name for being sex-crazed and horny, they claim they marry white men not for lust, only for love

Recently, at G20 summit in London, Brazil President Lula said this about the economy:

“This was a crisis that was fostered and boosted by irrational behavior of people that are white, blue-eyed, that before the crisis looked like they knew everything about economics.”

So the white blue-eyed probably knew everything about the hype they created for Asian American women, given the fact that Asian American women have surpassed Asian American men, if prostitution is not counted, ONLY in broadcast journalism.

And hey white men, you get the women that you deserve.

And not only Asian men brag about their sexual prowess. I know this because I had a white roommate who says “ I had problems getting it up after the fifth times.”.

    Five fu*king times?

Remember men are bullsh*tters and this guy probably couldn’t whack off twice in 24 hours.

So, next time, stop a “five-timer” and ask to smell his fingers!

  5. Asin says:

She just reinforced the Asian stereotypes. If every single successful Asian women marries whites, their offspring with mostly identify as white, so in the end, she doesn’t nothing for the community. She just married into a society that racist and Vietnamese population will disappear. So I don’t really much care for this bitch.

  6. redhead says:

Wow, Asin–did you even read your comment before posting it? YOU’RE saying she married into a society that’s racist? Listen to yourself! You sound like the Asian KKK. And how fucking ignorant of you to hate on a woman just because she didn’t marry a Vietnamese. I mean come on! So by what you wrote–you think she should have married a Viet as a way to “do something for the community?” HAHAHA How about a good hard look at why this upsets you so much. LOOK IN THE MIRROR. Leyna has done and continues to do a lot for the Vietnamese community, here and in Vietbam you ignorant bastard.
I f’n hate that kind of talk because YOU make Vietnamese people look bad. I bet you’re single too, you poor excuse for a human being.

  7. Bo May says:

Hm hm, let’s see who Connie Chung married to? A douche bag used car sale man Maury Pauvich!
And she still marries to him. Dang!
    I rest my case.

  8. Shaka Kan says:

Connie Chung totally denies her heritage, whereas Leyna does not.

  9. Bo May says:

Why didn’t she marry Van Tran? A council man who made us proud.
On another thought, may be NOT!

  10. Bo May says:

How about Tyler Dipsh!t and Andy hetsiuQuach…?…Nah!

With guys like them I don’t blame Asian women who would go for white guys…after all white token males are more susceptible to their dragon lady iron will and pay respect to them.

  11. Jung Kim says:

Bo May, joe daddy….. you can’t marry her with your diseased dead pecker?

Try a implant you jack donkey hole!

    donkey = ass

  12. Jung Kim says:

Bo May, joe daddy …no wonder you love white man.
They treat you right with longer stick. Congrats!

  13. Bo May says:

    JK;
    Why attack me?
I only made a matter-of-fact comment regarding the eligibility of the popular viet bachelors in the viet community.
If you disagree with me, just state your reason why they are so precious and worthy in your mind.
No need to insult any one with that filthy language. No wonder people here think you are a bit out of whack. (sigh)

  14. jung kim says:

the only girl i have is my hand.

  15. jung kim says:

i have to use protection because i’m afraid of giving myself a STD.

  16. jung kim says:

    i still wet the bed.

  17. jung kim says:

    i have a tiny jibber.

  18. jung kim says:

i have erectile disfunction thats why im so mean to people.

  19. Jung Kim says:

Ha Ha Ha! Each time you use my name you will owe me $10!

  20. jung kim says:

i needs money to get high

  21. Jung Kim says:

    ask joe mama milk tank.

  22. jung kim says:

i love andy, tyler, van. Mooooah!

  23. Jung Kim says:

And we don’t like carpet bagger dishonest Garden Grove Councilman Andrew Do… who is still living in Santa Ana.

  24. Bo May says:

You don’t like Andrew Do, ok, we got that, but do you like Andy Quach?

  25. Bo May says:

What do you say if I say WE, people of Garden Grove, like Andrew Do very much, ’cause he made us proud?

  26. Yeller says:

The only thing that JK likes is his leader’s one-eye snake, and it fits comfortably in his mouth, and he shares it with his clan…Suck boy, suck!

  27. Jung Kim says:

Yeller, you won’t be able to suck Andrew Do …without permission from his boy friend Bo May, joe daddy.

  28. Jung Kim says:

Bo May, joe daddy …. I am glad you like Andrew.

Just make sure you put correct Santa Ana address in the gay marriage certificate. Ha Ha Ha!

  29. May What? says:

    Bo May,

Proud to be gay? What has this jerk done other than carpetbag into GG?

  30. bien says:

Yes, there is something wrong with Asian guys. They always look for their spouses who are less educated than them. What is a problem ? Because they want to have more powers than their spouse. …They always think that they will control their wives easier if they have more education than . But in the real life, there is a lot of woman always control her husband without her degree.
    :( (
I hope that the next Asian generation men will not have a big problem like that.
There are a lot of Asian girls who want to marry with the same race guys but they cannot meet because the odd thinking on the education. The problem is not from that girl but come from boys…
I always want to see Asian people married with the same race.

  31. Jacky says:

Nicepost!!Thanks for sharing! Checkout my blog at <a href=

  32. Kenny says:

What’s wrong with these interracial marriages? Nothing. But what’s wrong when I’m married to my non-Asian wife? Everything. Asian women and their white counterparts have a hard time standing or sitting next to us without feeling unease for some reason. I don’t know, but whenever I’m next to these kinds of couples, the white (or Jewish male) tend to feel that I either stole the pretty Caucasian female that they failed to get in the first place and the Asian wife or girlfriend felt embarrassed and less importance because they knew my wife didn’t threw herself at me like did with their husbands. Just a thought.
