To follow up on the Bolsavik’s previous entry here: the City of Westminster’s Traffic Commission last night voted to restrict parking to 40 minutes in the area near Nguoi Viet Daily News in an attempt to drive out Ky Ngo and other protestors who have been camping there.
The Reg’s Deepa Bharath has the story here, which includes a nice and convenient summary of the whole protest, for those of you new to the issue.
The vote was 4-1, with Councilman Andy Quach‘s appointee Andrew Nguyen (the Westminster school board member) voting in favor of the restriction. The appointees of Tri Ta and Tyler Diep also voted for the restriction. The lone nay came from Gil Cruz, the appointee of Frank Fry who just didn’t think the parking restriction would be effective in stopping the protest.
At the hearing, Parking Enforcement gave their opinion that, sure, they can chalk the tires to enforce the parking restriction, but, no, they have better things to do than to hang out at the Moran Street cul-de-sac all day (unlike, ahem, certain people). Nonetheless, if the restriction is there, tickets will be handed out.
Nguoi Viet brought droves of employees to the hearing. The protestors, however, did not come.
It appears to the Bolsavik that, strategically, they’d rather this item pass so they can scream and yell about being oppressed while at the same time receive a convenient excuse to end the whole shenanigan and achieve “peace with honor.”
The restriction won’t be final and the curb won’t be painted until the City Council votes on it on May 13.
Then, good bye Ky Ngo.
Ha ha ha! it would a cat-and-mice game between parking officers and the protestors. It’s not going to be very effective since they only move when the officers show up, and the officers can’t hang around all day.
But it’s a positive move ! a kudos to the Westminster City.
As much as I believe NGO KY is a communist agent, I also oppose this parking restriction by the Westminster City Council, using the pretense of parking restriction to effectively curb freedom of political expression.
This is a perfect case for appeal, I strongly urge any good attorney to pick up this case.
“Political expression” ! C’om on Country First, they have expressed their political views long enough. Their “political expression” has become “political nuisance” and “political harassment”.
It’s time for Westminster City to kick them out.

Those appointees for Andy Quach, Tri Ta and Tyler Diep have made a right decision…… we do not need to offer additional attention to Ky Ngo anymore.

Don’t worry Ngo Ky! I have been interviewing other Viet protest groups in Virginia, Texas, and San Jose, and they want you to expand your protesting to the national level. We want to take this issue to the Supreme Court and have the Chief Justices shut Nguoi Viet down for their anti-Viet sentiments.
This fight is not over until Nguoi Viet stops publishing poorly researched articles and Ngo Ky gets his own publication like ‘Ngo Ky Speaks’ or ‘Ngo Ky Daily’ or ‘Ngo Ky Inquirer’.

although I agreed Ngo Ky is an extremist, I also think he has the right to express his political view. My son Ngo Ky came home in tear, he cut his middle finger, drunk his blood, and swear to fight Nguoi Viet News and Westminster city until his death. The new parking rule is nothing and won’t stop him for the fight, he said in tear. He’ll be there using his body as a mobile protesting sign. This time he will hang up the bodies of all the Viet city councilmen, including Tri Ta, Truong Diep and Andy Quach. The other two, Magie Rice and Frank Fry won’t be hung up, because they are… American. My son Ngo Ky said he rather die with honor in the front line of the battle (in this case the front door of Nguoi Viet News) than quit the fight and disappoint 2 millions oversea Vietnamese and 82 millions Vietnamese back home in Vietnam.
