Newly announced Congressional candidate Van Tran held a press conference yesterday where he repeatedly gave what will be the core of his campaign: Three times he said only a Vietnamese would take care of the Vietnamese.
The presser went smoothly, with all in attendance from the various Viet media outlets. The sole exception was “Jubal” Matt Cunningham from OC Blog/Red County.
Van is neither the first Vietnamese-American politician to take on U.S. Rep. Loretta Sanchez, nor is he the first to use as campaign theme that only a Vietnamese would take care of the Vietnamese.
In 2006, now-indicted Tan Nguyen overwhelmingly beat two other candidates and won the Republican primary with 55.4% of the vote. He too called for Viets to vote for him because “only a Vietnamese would take care of the Vietnamese.”
That theme was also used by just about everyone else, including Tran himself in his first campaign for Garden Grove City Council. Lan Quoc Nguyen, who introduced Tran at the presser, also used it in his campaign for school board.
Present at the presser are almost all of Tran’s political allies, including Garden Grove City Council member Dina Nguyen, Westminster City Council members Andy Quach and Tyler (Truong) Diep, and former school board member Trung Nguyen. Westminster City Councilman Tri Ta wasn’t there.
Republican politicians commonly associated with Supervisor Janet Nguyen, predictably, didn’t come. She was not there, neither was Garden Grove City Council member Andrew Do or Orange County School Board member Long Pham – who challenged the incumbent Tran in the GOP primary in 2006 and lost spectacularly.
Bolsa 247
Good luck with your campaign of sabotage and destruction. While you are out there sowing the seeds of chaos in Little Saigon, have you checked in with your masters in Hanoi? They like you very much and would want to coordinate closely with you.
May be you can get paid a hefty sum while you create a dirty campaign of lies and deceit against Tran & Co. Why not get paid some bucks for it, right? People can read you like a bad novel. How pathetic.
Bolsa#247, is this your latest tagger number? Are you upset with Assemblyman Van Tran’s anti-graffiti legislation? The real danger is a good for nothing…. wasted life, like yours.
Assemblyman Van Tran has been working very hard to support our community! You are worse than a dog……. dogs don’t bite feeding hands.
Get your self a plane ticket to Cuba and don’t comeback!

OC Citizen wannabe, put both of your hands on top of your small head and spin 10 times.
Why? because you illegals can not vote on the election day and proudly , all of our viet community members will vote for Mr. Van Tran!
Cry now idiot!
Hmmm, on second thought, you may vote for new Uganda presidential candidate “Chimp I. Goldencage Jr.”
Haha . . . Haha . . . Oohhhhh . . . I’m crying now Jk. But don’t worry about me just go & get Van Tran lots of tissues because he will needed more than I do.

How funny, get your self a cold drink and study/pass citizenship test soon!
You’re the one who flunk out remember? Go study and quit dreaming about Andrew Do Do.
Ask Janet how I did my work at Irvine. You don’t need to be impressed but be more positive about good people.
What work? You meant the one you copied off of Janet ? And when I see good people I will be positive. Now all I see is crook, slut and corruptor .
I believe Assemblyman Van Tran has made a great contribution to our community for the last 20+ years.
His dedication has resulted in a social/political empowerment for our viet citizens and no one can take this credit away from him.
Mr. Van Tran deserves our respect and support.
OC Citizen wannabe ESL student, only slut is residing near your rough skinned small head. Confused? Idiot!
If I were Van Tran, I would run away from JK as far as possible.

And sworn you as a official Citizen of Uganda.
Here,we are glad to have Assemblyman Van Tran’s strong leadership in OC.
OC Citizen,
I need to take you in the pound. You need a tetanus shot because you have mouth and foot disease.
You must be a chihuahua OC Citizen. Small but with a big mouth. Stop drooling your slime all over this blog. It’s tough enough to wipe out the swine flu. People don’t need your dirty disease. Go play with your mother dog, Janet Nguyen. She’s barking at you right now.
Assemblyman Van Tran is keen on national economy matters as he is the head of Calf. International Trade Commission. Under his leadership, California has been doing a very good trading with Vietnam. From California Chamber website, they boost that in 2008, California exports to Vietnam doubled from 2007, reaching $587 million. Transportation equipment exports grew seven times to $212 million, accounting for 36 percent of the total California exports to Vietnam.
Haha… you dogs always wanted to be human, staying in the pound that long doesn’t automatically make you the pound owner. BB King is right about one thing : when it comes to money, Van Tran is very keen. He knows where it is and he knows how to get it .

Lou is missing the boat!
What people in Santa Ana are looking for is more job/business opportunities.
Lou used to be pretty dumb and now he is really dumb…it must be a family trait.
A teaching self defense? My foot! He needs to reduce crimes in the district by removing fast growing gang members and drug dealers.
We don’t need more band – aids….. what we need is real solutions to solve stagnant old problems.
Replace Lou with Bolsavik. Go Bolsavik!
crime is happening where you live right now, JK. VT need to start cleaning them up starting with your mouth.
One way to solve budget shortfall : Traffic Tickets !
Motorists beware: In some communities, police are issuing tickets during these hard times at a rate higher than ever in what critics say is an attempt to raise revenue in order to offset budget shortfalls.
Take, for example, the metropolitan Detroit area, which has been reeling economically much longer than has the rest of the country. The number of moving violations issued has increased by at least 50 percent in 18 communities in the metro area since 2002—and 11 of those municipalities have seen ticketing increases of 90 percent or more.

Corrupted legislators want to keep Waste Management Board.
So many state boards and commissions are packed with former lawmakers, as a way to draw income ($130,000/year plus a staff) from State without having to work at all.
Get rid of out of line/ wasteful state boards and commissions today.
We must spend our resources wisely.
BolsaViet Conundrum :
After a few weeks of hot media coverage of possible running of several local Vietnamese candidates in the next election cycle, attention has fizzled down with benign neglect. These tenderfoot aspirants has failed to build up momentum with more activities. Meanwhile, other real politicians are just slam-dunking the Bolsa court with fast breaks and easy lay-ups.
Country First, it’s too early to tell about their political activities/inactivities.
The incumbent’s fast moving, useless phto op gestures…. tells me that they are in the desperation and fear mode.
Go Viets!
Yes, it is only 10 minutes into the game, and the score is 14 to 3 in favor of the incumbent who is trying to build roots in challenger’s backyard.
In order to win, one has to be FEARFUL of one’s competitors. Complacency breeds desperation.
I don’t see other confident office holders doing a desperate doggy style swimming in this early stage of game….unless you are drowning.
Sanchez and Lou have giant hill to climb in this election.
Go Viet candidates and work hard to win big!
The daily soap opera of Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez is getting a little steamier with the revelation of her intimate relationship with her former military escort and current homeland security and defense lobbyist, John (Jack) P. Einwechter, currently “Of Counsel” at the DC law firm of Greenberg Traurig.
For Christmas 2003, she spent $140,574 for holiday cards and mailings.
For Christmas 2004, she spent $131,290 money for holiday cards and mailings.
