The success of a string of lawsuits naming red-baiters, such as here and here, has had a dampening effect on people bent on protesting any and everything perceived to be on the magenta side of the color palette.
Deprived of targets, some are turning against one another. The last few weeks have witnessed 
a string of infightings among the loud mouths of Little Saigon, starting with the loudest of them all, Ky Ngo. This time, he’s the victim.
Fresh from a civil settlement with Nguoi Viet that, on the one hand, deprives him of his favorite pastime, but on the other let him off scot-free, Ky Ngo has been spending his days relaxing, getting some more sleep, looking more refreshed. If you see him now, you may even notice that he’d shed some of that deep tan he’d been accumulating for sitting outdoors for too long.
And then he made a mistake. The mistake of telling a joke.
When asked on radio why he’s no longer protesting, he cracked, “Nguoi Viet paid me $80,000 to stop. Hahaha.” Apparently he thought it was funny.
His fellow protestors, however, all of whom have a clearly demonstrated track record of not getting it, jumped on Ky Ngo.
One left a note on his car calling him a coward. Others called him a traitor.
These other protestors, not specifically named as defendants in the Nguoi Viet lawsuit and thus not subject to the judgment, are still carrying out a weekly protest every Saturday, walking up and down Moran, between the newspaper’s office and Bolsa Avenue.
Hours and hours of radio air time were spent on this “issue.” Some of it is repeated in a story by Viet Weekly here. The magazine, once a target of protests, is now making coverage of Ky Ngo’s days a central part of its contents.

I don’t know if Ky Ngo is in it for a money making scheme, we need to have good evident to support this theory, otherwise we will be doing exactly what he is doing, making accusation based on one’s emotion, ‘con trick’ accusation is the same as red baiting.
Coming from Vietnam we saw lot of corruption and cons from every corner , most of the time the deals brokered by the officials, so we do not know who to trust. Since we came here, as mush as we promised to ourselves to get rid of the old way, but did we?

If Ky Ngo is too young , if he is in his 50′s that would make him 18 or 20 when the war is over in 75. He could not be one of those VNCH official prisoners in the re-education camp.
As I said before, lot of HO folks were ready to let go of the past and move-on since they came here and they rather did well after a short time, financially, children graduated from college, etc. , unfortunately, some could not, and I feel for them. I support their cause to go down on the streets to protest, but I do not support some of them who see the boogie commie under the bed.

Anyway, by a rough estimate, 1 million civilians died during and after the war. Says more than half of that number killed by the communist, how many of them whose relatives whom still alive today living in the US?
To fight the real commie we should be united and build a strong community, start with one’s own life, living a clean and orderly conduct. leave a better legacy to one’s own children. Ky Ngo and his other 2 brother in arms are not doing the viet community any good favor, on the contrary they are making the viet youth disgusted and run away from their roots.

To Ky Ngo, this fight against the Vietnamese communists is personal. Statistics and numbers are nice and good to know, but when your loved ones are included in those numbers, it’s very personal. That’s all it matters.

North Vietnam : 1,100,000 military personnel ( mostly in the South ) and 1,000,000 civilians ( mostly because of US bombing ) on both sides died in the conflict.
South Vietnam : 500,000 military personnel and 1,000,000 civilians.
Total Vietnamese casualty is around 3,000,000 to 3,500,000
Every Vietnamese family suffered some kind of loss.

On Ky Ngo: the personal hatred carried by one individual is that all that matter for oneself, of course.
That is why there is law to protect people from being attacked by these misguided personal vendettas.
The terrorists do have their own personal hatred against America and the western world, some of them, probably lost their loved one from a the Gaza conflict, by the Israelis, they blamed that on the USA, whether it is true or not, it is another complicated conflict, but I don’t want to have my life threatened by their very personal hatred, it is matter to them but it surely an inconvenience for me every time I go to the airport.

Ky Ngo acted against the Vietnamese communists out of personal motivation — because they killed and imprisonsed his relatives. He does not have to justify his actions to anyone, as long as he is willing to receive the consequences for his own action. He is a grown man and he is responsible for his own action. This week, China’s Vice Premiere Wang Qishan is in Washington Dc to demand US government more guarantee on its 1 trillion dollar loans.
What would happen to America if China stop lending ?
It could be fun if Ngo Ky could come and stage a protest against the Chinese officials.
Wow, so much material deconstructing Ngo Ky. My take on the man is that he is an opportunist turned pseudo entertainer who poses a threat allowing real name calling individuals to use his platform to smear other people.
All we know is Ngo Ky is anti-communist, but he does not state his reason(s). Then, his act gets picked up by the local Republican party, and Ngo Ky uses that exposure to promote himself, not his cause. His cause is secondary to his celebrity status. Now, someone says that the VN communists killed his family members.
If Ngo Ky substantiates that claim then he cheapens their demise, and if he does not, then his real motive for protesting lies elsewhere.
Whatever the reason, his protest production has allowed individuals with ambiguous motives to name call their opponents playing on the people’s loss. It is difficult to disagree the above blog that states acts carried out by the likes of Ngo Ky are as damaging to the local Viets’ reputation in Little Saigon as the heritage commonality between the North and South VN.

I beg to differ with you all on the point of Ngo Ky being the culprit of conflicts. Nothing is further from the truth than to imply that the Nguoi Viet Newspaper being the “prey” while Ngo Ky being the “predator”.
Vietnamese newspapers have always been the main source of rumors, innuendo, baseless accusations. They have been the instigators of internal division and civil destruction within the Vietnamese community. Profiting on the sensationalized scandals, on other people’s misfortune is their modus operandi.
They would spend years worshiping anti-communist groups to increase their readership, and then many more years maligning and libeling these very groups for the same hideous profit motive.
Elaborate praise and blind obedience at the beginning as always, and then tall tales of indiscretion and backstabbing scandals.
With Ngo Ky, they are being splashed with their own poisonous medicine.
Ngo Ky used to be their idol, now is nothing but a squeezed lemon.
