The protestors in front of Nguoi Viet, now steady at a handful of people each Sunday, had a visitor yesterday. OC Board of Education member and Republican Assembly candidate Long Pham stopped by and gave them stuff.
Not sure what it was Pham (far right in inset) gave them out of the back of his van, but they appreciated it. The shortest man in white jacket is Captain Thìn; the tallest is Captain Lâm. Not sure of their last names.

I lost counts how many times Long Pham has been running for this seat. It wasn’t that long ago, for several months on radio, waves of nasty attacks of his opponent as he was digging up a little truth about the wife of Little Saigon “Godfather”. Some would call him a spoiler. Some would call him a dreamer. But, heck, if you couldn’t beat them, join them!
The human mind is a marvelous mechanism that usually serves us well by forgetting the pain of the past like Long Pham who plays a character with Alzheimer’s or has the condition himself.
And, of course, “only Viets can help Viets”.
Well, not so fast!

I only care about saving my own ass and staring at everyone else’s.
Long Pham is inexperience in political campaign and isn’t making any effort at campaigning. How does he get from point A, showing up at any and all anti-communist protests in the streets and shaking hands, to point B, to win the race?
Only time can tell!
But we need people like Long Pham to remind us, to help identify the herd so we can remember to steer clear of it in the election day.

He is a PHD, a man who is responsible for more than 500,000 students (his words) but….can not get rid of the ‘gia no’ complex to the white race.
If Van knows any better, he should be carefull with this Long Pham character. Any guy that has the type of face like a ” thai giam ” or a ” Viet gian” like this guy will pull a trick on you sooner or later.
Why every viet politician I see on the news, elected officials and wannabees, look like ‘can bo’ from Nam?
