Viet in high-speed chase didn’t get very far

Viet driver led police on high-speed chase. Where? Just around Little Saigon. (Photo: Kevin Warn for OC Register)

Perhaps the Bolsavik should choose a more meaningful item for the grand re-opening of this blog, but he can’t help it.

In this news from the OC Register, one Tony Vu, 34, was arrested in the wee hours today after leading the police on a high-speed chase.

And where did this Viet of Midway City run when the police was tailing him? According to the Register, Vu “drove on numerous Orange County freeways and several times drove into Long Beach … returned to Westminster and then drove into Huntington Beach, where he lost control of his vehicle at Brookhurst Street and Pacific Coast Highway.”

So, he started on Bolsa, barely stepped outside the OC, and ended on Brookhurst.

Is this Viet’s failure to get too far from Little Saigon, despite hours of driving, symbolic of ghettoism, or something? You decide.
